Created by Alessandro Mendini, it has a shape that expresses its kinship with the traditional moka. An espresso coffee maker in cast aluminum with an ergonomic handle and a knob in thermoplastic resin. A true eulogy to the daily ritual of coffee.
The Moka Alessi was born from the desire to pay homage to the classic moka designed in the 1930s and which has become a very popular object. Mendini has accepted the challenge of reinterpreting this cult object in a contemporary key. The Moka Alessi has an immediately recognisable formal character, it is a coffee maker with a rounded shape that makes the vertical conicity of the traditional moka sinuous. For everything else, Mendini has respected the details of the traditional moka, trying to improve its technical aspects, such as the thickness of the aluminium and the capacity of the boiler. The Moka Alessi helps to give life to a new contemporary, intimate and homely ritual.
